Due to a particularly pure rubber compound and a uniform wall thickness, the hoses from Schwalbe keep the air especially long. So you can safely start every bike adventure.

Schwalbe bicycle hoses are usually made of butyl rubber. Butyl is a very elastic and airtight synthetic rubber. The base material is pressed with enormous pressure through a total of seven filters prior to extrusion. All hoses are placed in a mold for vulcanization and pumped up. Only this ensures uniform wall thickness and high air retention. All finished tubes are inflated and stored for at least 24 hours to test for air retention. After that, each hose is checked carefully by visual inspection. German Schwalbe Hose has been valued for many years by German bicycle dealers for its high reliability. Every Schwalbe hose is 100 percent recyclable. Schwalbe can use the recycled butyl rubber in the production of new hoses without loss of quality. Each new Schwalbe standard hose is therefore already today about 20 percent recycled raw material. Compared to the production of the same amount of new butyl, only one fifth of energy is consumed.

Sclaverand valve
The Sclaverand valve is narrower than the other valves (6 instead of 8 mm). It requires a smaller rim bore and is therefore particularly well suited for narrow road rims. And has meanwhile established itself on many mountain bikes.

Dunlop valve
The classic bicycle valve or Dunlop valve is still the most widely used on city bikes. Most bikes are familiar with it. The valve insert can easily be replaced and the air can be drained very quickly. The assembly is more complicated with a hose with Dunlop valve, because the valve has to be disassembled and reassembled.

Durch eine besonders reine Gummimischung sowie einer gleichmäßigen Wandstärke, halten die Schläuche aus dem Hause Schwalbe, die Luft besonders Lang. So kannst du unbesorgt auf jedes Bike-Abenteuer aufbrechen.

Die Fahrradschläuche von Schwalbe bestehen in der Regel aus Butylkautschuk. Butyl ist ein sehr elastischer und gleichzeitig luftdichter, synthetischer Kautschuk. Das Grundmaterial wird vor der Extrusion mit enormem Druck durch insgesamt sieben Filter gepresst. Alle Schläuche werden zur Vulkanisation in eine Form eingelegt und aufgepumpt. Nur das gewährleistet gleichmäßige Wandstärken und hohe Lufthaltigkeit. Alle fertigen Schläuche werden aufgepumpt und so mindestens 24 Stunden gelagert, um sie auf Lufthaltigkeit zu testen. Danach wird jeder Schlauch einzeln per Sichtkontrolle sorgfältig gecheckt. Von deutschen Fahrradhändlern wird der Schwalbe Schlauch seit vielen Jahren für seine hohe Zuverlässigkeit geschätzt. Jeder Schwalbe-Schlauch ist zu 100 Prozent recycelbar. Schwalbe kann den recycelten Butylkautschuk bei der Produktion neuer Schläuche ohne Qualitätsverlust einsetzen. Jeder neue Schwalbe Standardschlauch besteht deshalb schon heute zu rund 20 Prozent aus recyceltem Rohstoff. Dabei wird im Vergleich zur Herstellung der gleichen Menge neuen Butyls wird nur ein Fünftel an Energie verbraucht.

Auto-Ventil
Das Auto-Ventil lässt sich sehr leicht an der Tankstelle befüllen.

Sclaverand-Ventil
Das Sclaverand-Ventil ist schmaler als die anderen Ventile (6 statt 8 mm). Es benötigt eine kleinere Felgenbohrung und ist daher besonders gut für schmale Rennradfelgen geeignet. Und hat sich mittlerweile bei vielen Mountainbikes etabliert.

Dunlop-Ventil
Das klassische Fahrradventil oder Dunlop-Ventil ist immer noch am weitesten verbreitet bei City-Rädern. Die meisten Räd sind damit vertraut. Den Ventileinsatz kann man leicht auswechseln und die Luft kann sehr schnell abgelassen werden. Die Montage ist bei einem Schlauch mit Dunlop-Ventil aufwendiger, weil das Ventil dafür zerlegt und wieder montiert werden muss.
