Shimano Deore XT M8120 4-piston disc brake

Improved, particularly powerful, hydraulic Shimano Deore XT disc brake with 4 pistons for downhill safety for enduro/trail and e-MTB riders. The brake calipers are characterized by excellent braking control and a simple connection system. The I-Spec EV compatible BL-M8100 brake levers are mounted at an angle, creating an additional contact point. This increases rigidity and provides more direct feedback. In addition, the Shimano Servo Wave technology increases braking performance: more performance is available with a shorter free travel.

Servo Wave
The Shimano Servo-Wave technology optimizes the lever travel of your brake levers. The brake pads are quickly guided to the brake disc during braking with a very short lever travel. The larger part of the lever travel is reserved for the actual braking force. This allows you to dose your braking force more precisely and implement it better.

I-Spec EV
I-Spec EV describes a variant of the connection between the brake lever and the shift lever on Shimano MTB gears. This type of installation allows the shift lever to be adjusted both horizontally and vertically in relation to the brake lever and ensures a tidy cockpit as it reduces the number of clamps required. I-Spec EV offers a significantly larger adjustment range compared to I-Spec and I-Spec II. 14 mm adjustment range in the longitudinal direction and up to 60° rotation enable optimal ergonomic adjustment to your riding style, your sitting position and your anatomy.

one-way venting
One Way Bleeding is a technology used on Shimano brake calipers that makes bleeding the brake easier. The lines have been optimized so that no air bubbles remain in the brake caliper. In combination with the funnel, the brake can be bled cleanly and easily.

J-Kit
J-Kit is a simple line connection system for hydraulic brakes from Shimano, so that you can install your brake quickly and easily. The brake line is not yet mounted on the brake in the delivery to make it easier to route it in the frame. The brake line is already filled with oil and sealed with a thin membrane in the J-Kit brake lever. There is a small pin in the J-Kit brake lever that pierces this membrane during installation so that the oil can flow.
