Vectran Breaker - the reference in breakdown protection
Vectran™ is a synthetically produced high-tech fiber based on nature. Like spider silk, Vectran™ is a liquid crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran™ is spun from the molten liquid polymer Vectra and processed into a multi-fiber yarn. Spider silk and Vectran™ have enormous tear resistance and are extremely lightweight. These are exactly the right properties to be used as a puncture protection insert in a top Continental tire. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than comparable nylon breakers. The Vectran™ Breaker does not affect rolling resistance.
