The lightest Bora ever

After the launch of Bora 30 years ago, Campagnolo begins 2024 with the presentation of an evolution of the wheel family, thanks to the two new models Bora Ultra WTO and Bora WTO: a refined design developed for the most demanding cyclists, an extremely precise control of the handling , even more aerodynamic shapes for superior performance and a further reduced weight, all to the advantage of performance.

The distinguishing feature of the wheels are the spokes: thanks to the G3 lacing, the structure achieves extreme rigidity while minimizing the loss of power exerted by the cyclist on the wheel. At the same time, the technology used in the construction of the rims allows excellent control so that the ideal driving line can be maintained. In addition, the new Bora rims feature an internal width of 23 millimeters, optimized for wider tires compared to previous models, thus ensuring greater ground contact, benefiting aerodynamics and bike control.

But it is the aerodynamics that make the Bora wheels a high-end solution: the integration between the rim and tire is designed to have a teardrop-shaped profile, with the result that a more dynamic airflow is created. In fact, frontal wind resistance is 13% lower than the previous model, while in a 15 degree crosswind it drops by up to 80%. As far as weight is concerned, the weight of the rims has been reduced by up to 135 grams compared to the previous version. Thanks to the most advanced technical solutions such as HULC (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) mold making, an optimal balance between carbon fiber and resin is possible. A reduction that does not affect performance in the three typical driving conditions: slipstream, uphill and downhill.
