Shimano DEORE XT M8000 shifter: Improved ergonomics, 20% lower operating forces

Since the interaction between the driver and his propulsion system is known to occur primarily via the gear shifters, these man-machine interfaces have been accorded the highest priority in the new DEORE XT M8000 Group. The switching and release levers, which are equipped with tactile different surfaces, as well as the OPTISLICK cables provide a 20% reduction in shifting forces, in particular for endurance athletes of sometimes crucial importance, and improve ergonomics literally noticeably. INSTANT-RELEASE, MULTI-RELEASE and 2-WAY-RELEASE ensure fast and flexible operation, the further optimized Vivid Index mechanism for clear tactile feedback and precision. The new I-Spec II (SL-M8000-I) offers in comparison to the clamp further adjustment and thus customization options.
