Back to basics with the Kona Hardtail

We all remember our first mountain bike. For many, it was probably a bike like the Lana'I. A frame that survives the first MTB adventures unscathed; equipped with reliable components, so you don't have to worry about something breaking while driving. With a suspension fork that made it possible for us to conquer the first trails.

The Lana'I also offers all of this in the latest generation. And that for an affordable price.

Technologies used

In this chapter we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses in this product.

Kona 6061 aluminum
Kona 7005 and 6061 aluminum alloys are very common in our mountain bikes and asphalt bikes. Kona 7005 and 6061 is a strong, durable and affordable lightweight alloy that delivers both fantastic and reliable performance over thousands of rides. Much of their 7005/6061 tubing is butted and/or shaped which means the wall thickness of the tubing can be both increased and decreased and shaped allowing us to fine-tune a particular frame's strength and ride characteristics to suit the application be able.

Semi-integrated headset
The big advantage of an internal headset, where the cups are actually pressed into the frame and are easily removable, is the extra layer of protection that protects the bearings from the elements. An internal headset also reduces the stack height, making the height of the stem and handlebars more adjustable, allowing for the best fit for the rider.

scope of delivery

  • 1 x Kona Lana'I (see item description for details)
