The original knee-length Omloop Thermo-Short

– now made entirely of Nano Flex 3G material – for all conditions from dry to cool to wet.

You could call it a convergence product. A few years ago we developed the first Omloop Thermo-Short, inspired by professional racers who cut off their knee warmers right at the bend of their knees on a sunny morning during the classic 'Omloop Het Nieuwsblad'.

We set out to develop a knee-length bib short and found that we could do without leg grippers - and that the extra 10 centimeters of fabric generated a lot of warmth. These first Omloop shorts were made for cool, dry conditions, like the race that inspired them, using our Thermoflex material. Fast forward to the present: the new, 3rd generation of our Nano Flex material is as soft, stretchy, breathable and warm as our Thermoflex material, so we can now design these shorts ideally for cool and dry conditions - but they are also great on wet days.
