The ULTEGRA FC-R8100-P power meter crank offers the full range of functions and the same precision as its DURA-ACE counterpart, but at a more attractive price.

Training under scientific conditions requires precise measurements, but also user-friendliness. The new ULTEGRA R8100 power meter crank is characterized by both. The two-sided measurement is accurate to 1.5% and the zero point calibration can be carried out quickly and easily. Perhaps most important, however, is its long battery life, easy charging, and the ANT + and Bluetooth®LE connection, which makes it easier than ever to record and use training data.

HOLLOWGLIDE - large hollow chainring
The extremely stiff hollow structure reduces the weight while maintaining the same strength. Better power transmission and faster, more precise shifting in the front.

HOLLOWTECH - hollow forged cranks
Light cranks reduce the overall weight of the bike and, above all, the rotating mass that is crucial for acceleration. The challenge is to reduce the weight of the crank without compromising stability and resilience.
Shimano`s state-of-the-art forging technology offers an ideal solution with the HOLLOWTECH crank. Just like a high-quality frame tube, the hollow arm crank is extremely stable and resilient with a very low weight.

HOLLOWTECH II
Perfect balance between stiffness, stability, weight and rotational efficiency. The concept of the HOLLOWTECH II technology was geared towards the production of an optimized crankset, which minimizes the effort of the driver for the drive. The high rigidity of the crankset ensures efficient power transmission when pedaling, while its low weight relieves the driver, especially on longer journeys. The crankset was developed with a view to achieving an optimal ratio between rigidity and low weight. The HOLLOWTECH technology enables extremely light, hollow crank arms, which are manufactured using SHIMANO's exclusive forging technology in order to obtain maximum rigidity. In addition, the right crank of the HOLLOWTECH II set is firmly connected to the axle of the bottom bracket, which achieves an optimal balance between maximum rigidity and minimum weight. The externally mounted inner bearing offers better weight distribution and more stability, which ensures more efficient power transmission.
During the development of the HOLLOWTECH II crankset, emphasis was placed on an optimal ratio between rigidity and rotation efficiency as well as low weight and an attractive appearance.
High quality precision seals. The HOLLOWTECH II crankset also has high-quality precision seals in the bearing area to extend durability and maintain excellent rotation efficiency over the long term.
